I find VLC from the Windows Store full of bugs and frequent crashes, the Movies and TV app that comes with Windows 10 drops out and stutters more than it should and it is geared to direct you to MS's movies to download or stream rather than playing what you already have. The video players that run on the new Modern UI in Windows 10 deliver excellent video and Kodi is one of them. This isn't a solution to your problem but I am also using Kodi Media Center from the Windows Store. May I suggest a different skin? I know I don't want to change because I like the one I'm using. Since using the madVR video render the playback is simply stunning compared to what it was, so not only does it work, it works excedingly well. I also note there are several postings on this forum and the PotPlayer forum stating madVR does not work with 64 bit Windows and PotPlayer. Using: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, PotPlayer 64 bit version 6, NVIDIA GTX 560. I think the madVR renderer uses a lot of system resources compared to others and this may partially be the cause of your issues and mine. If one pauses the video the same thing happens. I do note there is a temporary hesitation with appearance of the desktop momentarily when the video closes and returns to the PotPlayer logo screen which also was not there before. When opened the name and path of the video displays briefly in the upper left and then "Exclusive" displays in the same place, which is new behavior. It's recommended to always update the player to the latest version of PotPlayer (get the latest version: ).I recently switched to madVR for video render and noticed it seems to override some of the features of the skin I'm using, Metro.X. ".mp4") and finally press Apply or OK button (after applying the settings you can uncheck previously checked association). If it doesn't work for you or you have portable version of player then try to open the player's settings (key "F5"), then go to "Association" tab and check any association (e.g. «Open/Add link to player» in the context menu for any link, html5 video player open a Youtube link in the player using middle mouse click on a link sync current video position (time) with PotPlayer play video using middle mouse click on /watch* page pause Youtube player when Potplayer starts In order for that to work, you need to open the extension's preferences and enable the necessary features. You can also use mouse clicks on a link or a page to open it directly in the player. To open a video link or playlist link in PotPlayer you can use the buttons on the site or you can use the menu items from the context menu (the right-click popup bar) on a link or on the actual video page. Player can play some video service links or any links if they are direct urls to some video. PotPlayer is a media player developed for Windows by South Korean Internet company Kakao (formerly Daum Communications). Quickly play or add a YouTube video (playlist), Twitch to PotPlayer using buttons on a page, also via context menu and middle-click > HOW TO USE IT: You need to install the latest version of PotPlayer to get it working - <</p>
